Detroit DSA is a
1200+ member funded organization. We receive no money from outside
sources so we can say things like "Defund the Police" and "Abolish
ICE" without losing funding, and we will always act democratically in
the interests of our members and the working class! If you're able to, we ask that you make
monthly contributions as they more directly benefit our chapter. Thank
you for whatever amount you're able to contribute!

This weekend will be
our final Detroit for All
canvasses before the August 3rd Primary! Be
sure to sign up for a shift if you haven't already. Direct voter
contact is the most important part of political organizing and we need
all we can get before next Tuesday's election. Hope to see you out
there!
Our August
General Membership Meeting will be
held on Saturday, August 14th in Clark Park
at 11AM. You can RSVP
here, and the agenda will include a discussion about the
DSA National Convention, results of the August 3rd Primary and next
steps for Detroit for All, plus a vote on our Electoral Endorsement
guidelines. Only members in good standing can
vote.
We look forward to seeing
you!
Solidarity forever,
Detroit DSA

Jumpstart Socialism for a New Tomorrow Telethon Friday, July
30th at 8PM
We don't know what resolutions will be passed at this year's
convention, but we know we will leave the convention with our next two
years of organizing cut out for us. And that means we're going to need
funds to make all that organizing happen! That's why we're kicking off
this year's convention with a telethon fundraiser to Jumpstart Socialism for a New Tomorrow on
Friday July 30th at 8pm ET.

with an experienced canvasser.

Primary Election Poll Standing Tuesday, August 3rd
Primary Election Day is August 3rd and we need your help
reaching voters at the polls. Having a person at the polling location
greeting voters will help get votes for Detroit for
All!
We would love to have you on board,
no former campaign or political experience needed!
We'll show you the ropes and together engage
our community in meaningful change. Your work outside the polls will
be vital to swaying undecided voters in the last minutes before they
vote.
Food and refreshments will be
provided throughout Election Day to all volunteers. You can
also use the sign up form to indicate any other needs you have. We
will also ensure that all volunteers have the supplies and support
they need to stay safe.
P.S. - Denzel's campaign is planning an Election Day Watch
Party! Stay tuned for details on where to join everyone to relax and
watch the results come in.
