Unlike Mike Garcia, we don't take money from corporate PACs or D.C. lobbyists -- big-money special interests who can write a check and donate thousands of dollars at the drop of a hat and expect something back in return. Now, that rule of ours can make fundraising harder, but it's the right way to win this race.

Our grassroots donors are truly the power behind this movement, and I'm so grateful to have so many of you with me in the fight to elect a real leader for CA-25. I want you to know that when I’m elected, I’ll be loyal to you -- not special interests.

Last year we only came up 333 votes short, but since then, I have been on the ground and talking to the people and hearing your needs, and I have no doubt that this time around, we're going to win. We just need to give this campaign everything we've got.

I want the folks of our district to know that my vote isn't for sale -- and that I don't believe that anyone should be able to buy their way into Congress thanks to corporate PAC money.
