With the August recess approaching, I’m looking forward to heading back home to Southern California, spending some quality time with Betty and my boys, and getting to safely reconnect with my constituents in person -- though we still have some unfinished business here in Washington.

My colleagues and I have remained committed to beating COVID-19, creating jobs, and leading a strong, equitable recovery for all Americans. Republicans, meanwhile, haven’t stopped pursuing a radical, chaotic agenda meant to divide and deceive the American people. I’m proud of all that my colleagues and I have accomplished so far this summer -- from delivering the largest Child Tax Credit ever to fighting for real accountability and transparency as we investigate the January 6th insurrection -- but just because it’s the August recess doesn’t mean that we’re slowing down. In fact, things are about to ramp up as we head into the fall and, before we know it, into the 2022 election season, and I’ll need you with me every step of the way.
