Join AMP Tuesday, August 3rd @ 4 pm EST for a webinar on “Complicity with Ethnic Cleansing: How U.S. Charities Fund Israeli Settlements”

Dear Email,

At the beginning of the week, I sent out an email about how Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and six of her colleagues sent a letter to the Secretary of the Treasury, Janet Yellen, urging her to review the 501(c)(3) status granted to organizations that fund the expansion of Israel’s settlement enterprise.

US-based private actors have been fueling the illegal Israeli settler enterprise on occupied Palestinian land through 501(c)(3) charitable contributions, and we need to talk about it.

Thousands of Palestinians continue to face the threat of displacement due to the ongoing expansion of Israel's settlement enterprise. Nonprofits like the Central Fund of Israel (CFI), a US-based tax-exempt nonprofit registered in New York State act as financial intermediaries for several Israeli nonprofits in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT) to provide tax-exempt status for their illegal activities.

Want to learn more? Join us on Tuesday, August 3rd, at 4:00 pm EST for a powerful and educational webinar where I will be hosting a live discussion on Facebook—delving deep into the issue of U.S. charities' complicity in enabling and funding the Israeli settlement enterprise and the work being done to combat it. I'll be joined by Diala Shamas, an attorney with the Center for Constitutional Rights, Lara Friedman, President of the Foundation for Middle East Peace, and Rasha Mubarak, founder of Unbought Power.
