I'm a simple guy, folks.
I’m just a dirt farmer from Montana. I get a $12 haircut. I butcher my own meat. I’m not the guy you would expect to walk the halls of Congress.
But I ran for Senate and I won my seat because I promised to represent those voices in Congress — the small business owner who gets overlooked, the hardworking parents who make just enough to provide for their kids, or the farmer in rural America who doesn’t have the access to services in other parts of the country.
A lot of my colleagues don’t necessarily know what that’s like. And that’s why I’m proud to go to work everyday — to give that small business owner, that working family, and that farmer a voice in Washington, and a chance to improve their lives.
But I couldn’t do this work without the support of folks like you. While a lot of my Republican colleagues have Super PACs and mega-donors with deep pockets, I rely on this grassroots team to help power the work we do.
You probably won’t be surprised to learn that a big chunk of our budget comes from folks like you, chipping in to messages like this one. And that’s why I’ll be really concerned if we miss this end-of-month fundraising deadline we have coming up on Saturday. That’ll eat into our budget and make it harder to do the work to hang onto the Senate.
Please, if you’re able, pitch in $10 or more to build on the work we’ve been doing. I’m counting on you, folks:
