Because the prison industrial complex (PIC) segregates and isolates individuals, communities, and issue areas, we know that our efforts can only be successful if we build stronger, deeper, and wider alliances as we go. So far this year, we have made over 70 presentations and workshops to supporters, decision-makers, media and movement partners. CR facilitated foundational political education for several movement partners and supporters, offering our Intro to the PIC and Abolition sessions to public health allies, formerly imprisoned and systems-impacted youth, the Abolition NOW network, CR volunteers and more. Your support helps us seed strong and unified abolitionist politics in movement partner orgs so they can advocate and organize from abolition as experts in their sector. Learn more about these efforts and partnerships here.
Your resources are essential to keeping abolition in action through our campaigns, projects, political education and movement partnerships. Will you help us get to our $20,000 goal by July 31 and sign up to be a monthly sustainer?
Here are the ways to support! You can:
Donate $20, $200, $2,000, or $20,000. Please support us by giving online or sending a generous check.
Become a monthly sustainer online or by check (some workplaces have giving programs!) to keep CR strong.
Subscribe or donate to The Abolitionist, our bilingual newspaper that we send to imprisoned people for free.
Spread the word to family and friends by sharing our website, posting on social media, and encouraging people to support CR.
Host a house party, workshop or presentation to benefit CR and share our materials and vision.
