Republican gubernatorial candidate Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli has once again sided with extremists and against the best interests of our state. Assemblyman Ciattarelli’s latest bad decision is to call for more exceptions to vaccine mandates in public schools for diseases like measles and mumps — a dangerous, anti-science position that could lead to these severe illnesses reemerging in our communities. More and more every day, Jack Ciattarelli proves why he would be a disastrous choice for New Jersey and why we must work as hard as we can to re-elect Governor Phil Murphy.

Governor Murphy signed a landmark bill this week that will provide free in-home nursing visits to new mothers throughout the state after delivering a new baby. Part of First Lady Tammy Murphy’s maternal health initiative, the bill will seek to address the disparities that currently exist in the state, where Black women are seven times as likely to die from pregnancy related complications than white women. The universal program will be available to all new moms and it will help continue Governor Murphy’s mission of creating a stronger and fairer New Jersey. 

Finally, it’s infrastructure week! President Biden announced an agreement on a bipartisan legislative package that will invest over $1.2 Billion in America’s roads, bridges, transit and much more, creating jobs and opportunities throughout the country in the process. After years of false promises from the Trump administration, President Biden is delivering where his predecessor failed and investing in our future.
