The PRO Act = Worker Power

ACTIVIST ALERT

Sign the petition to support the PRO Act

John,

You have not yet added your name to the petition urging Congress to pass the PRO Act, so I wanted to reach out again.

Corporate lobbyists have been pushing back hard against the bill, calling the changes it would make to restore union member power “dangerous.” They are complaining that it would “take away the ability of employers to keep their businesses open during strikes.”

I don’t know about you, but anything that makes management scared of worker power sounds like a good idea to me.

Today, thousands of union members across the country are using their power to demand that Congress pass the PRO Act. Can you add your name to the petition? Signing only takes a few seconds.

The PRO Act will give CWA members more power to win the wages, benefits and working conditions we deserve. It will protect strikers, make it easier for workers to join unions, prevent the misclassification of workers as independent contractors, deal a blow to “right-to-work” laws, and a lot more.

We have to make sure our elected leaders are held accountable and fight for legislation that will make our lives better. We have to make sure they are on the side of workers, not CEOs and the super-rich. That’s why signing this petition is so important.

We have the power to make our economy work for everyone and fight for a better future by passing the PRO Act.

Please join us on this PRO Act day of action by signing the petition: https://www.actionnetwork.org/petitions/proact

In Unity,
Beth
