John,
We’re quickly coming up on our campaign’s very FIRST end-of-month deadline! Before I ask if you can pitch in to help us reach our goal, I hope you’ll let me explain why deadlines like this matter.
It’s only been about a month since I announced my candidacy for Montana’s new congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives, but the Democratic primary is already crowded with candidates vying to take on far-right Republican Ryan Zinke in the 2022 general election.
I’m not a boastful person, but I can confidently say I am the most qualified candidate to go up against Zinke. Here’s why:
First, I know how to win. I’ve represented my small town of Livingston in the Montana House of Representatives since 2017, serving two terms in minority leadership. In order to get there, I took on a Republican incumbent and flipped my seat from red-to-blue in 2016. I know how to turn a seat blue, and I know I can do it again!
Maybe more importantly, I know how to lead. As a sitting state legislator, I have been successful passing landmark legislation with an uncertain path because my colleagues across the aisle trust me and know I treat everyone with respect. My constituents know they are at the center of everything I do at the Capitol, and I will always listen to their needs, fight for what I believe is right, and deliver real results on the issues that matter most to Montanans.
I know I can beat Zinke and be a voice for Montanans who feel like they don’t have a seat at the table, but in order to do that, I need your help standing out from the crowd and building a movement that will propel us to victory.
Tomorrow’s July fundraising deadline is a big part of that. The more we raise now, the more likely we are to beat Zinke.
Can I count on you to pitch in your first donation of $5 today to help our campaign raise $5,000 more before the month ends?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: |

I sincerely appreciate anything you can give to support our movement and create a brighter Montana for everyone.
