I'm going to cut to the chase because I need your help today, John.
Over the next few weeks, we are meeting across teams to discuss a key area of work that many other organizations don't consult with their base of supporters on:
Growth.
When I say growth, what I mean is expanding our climate movement — everything from major climate rallies to our email list — because there is only one way we will defeat the fossil fuel industry, and that is together.
We're making some important decisions pretty soon about how we're going to grow and scale our work — along with the percentage of our budget we will allocate to this work.
And as a member of our movement, I think you should have a say in that strategy. So I'm asking for your thoughts here:
In-person events like the Climate Strikes have historically been fundamental to 350.org's growth strategy. But with most parts of the world under lockdown because of the pandemic and more variants of COVID-19 emerging, we haven't been able to grow at the pace we need to keep up with our ambitious campaigns.
That's why I'm asking for your help here, because I think we can make up lost ground if we work together, think creatively, and share our ideas:
