John –
This week, we made history.
For the first time ever, the U.S. House passed a federal spending bill without the Hyde Amendment, which bans Medicaid insurance coverage of abortion. For over 40 years, the Hyde Amendment has been used by anti-abortion politicians to deny abortion coverage for people working to make ends meet.
We are the majority of Americans who believe Medicaid should cover abortion, and this week, our elected officials in the House listened to us. John, can you join us in thanking these #BeBoldEndHyde representatives in Congress for their historic vote and commitment to ending Hyde and abortion coverage bans once and for all?
With the passage of this bill in the House, we are one step closer to a world where each of us can get abortion care when we need it, however much money we make. You can drop a line thanking your representative for their vote to eliminate Hyde here.
Thanks for all you do, Kelsey Ryland Co-Director, Abortion Coverage Campaign |
