Dear Friend,
I know this year has been hard for many folks struggling with the challenges brought on by the pandemic. I am immensely grateful for the vaccines that have allowed for many businesses to reopen and people to return to their pre-pandemic pace of life. Yet it is essential we do everything we can to protect ourselves and one another here in the Commonwealth, especially as new variants are on the rise.
That is why I am writing to you today and urging you to get vaccinated if you haven’t already.
These vaccines are highly effective, extremely safe and free to anyone who wants one. Getting a vaccine will help protect you from hospitalization, long-term side effects, and death from COVID-19. It will also help protect your fellow Virginians and those – like children – who are unable to be vaccinated right now. The people who have the most ability to affect the future of the pandemic in America are those waiting to get vaccinated. Vaccines are the way we will collectively overcome this pandemic and have a chance to safely return to all of the activities we love.
Join me and the other 188.7 million of your fellow Americans who have been vaccinated. Let’s defeat COVID-19 together.
Go to: www.vaccines.gov to find a vaccine center near you.
If you want to share your thoughts about an issue that’s important to you, you can send me an email any time using the form on my Senate website. You can also follow me on Facebook and Twitter. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
