Last week, President Biden spoke at a rally in Arlington in support of Terry McAuliffe’s campaign for Governor of Virginia.

Joe was clear about what’s at stake in this race: do we expand Virginia’s progress, continue our recovery from the pandemic, and build a Commonwealth that celebrates our strength and diversity? Or do we send it into the hands of a Trump acolyte like Glenn Youngkin?

Poll after poll shows the Virginia Governor’s race is a statistical tie — and that worries me. Because we know that Terry’s opponent, Glenn Youngkin, is not only leaning in to Trump’s offensive rhetoric and policies; he’s also prepared to spend $75 million of his own money to buy the Governor’s office.

There’s way too much at stake to let that happen. If elected, Youngkin could reverse all of the progress we’ve made as a Commonwealth over the last decade.
