Dear Friend,

Monstrous wildfires are sending smoke all the way from Oregon to New York
City.^1 Massive flooding across Europe has killed hundreds and left
scientists “stunned.”^2 An unprecedented heat dome pushed temperatures
past 120 degrees ... in Canada.^3

Scientists confirm that these extreme-weather events could not happen
without global warming.^4

So why is the Biden administration getting ready to hand $6 billion to Big
Oil companies to triple U.S. exports of liquefied natural gas (LNG)?^5

We simply cannot meet our commitments on the Paris climate agreement
unless fossil fuel export projects like this are stopped. But oil
companies like ExxonMobil already have a big influence over Congress and
the Biden White House—yet the media is barely paying attention.^6 So we’re
launching an urgent effort to sound the alarm and mobilize public
opposition.

climate-busting, taxpayer-funded fossil fuel projects?

The science is unequivocal: unless we cut our fossil fuel emissions right
now, extreme weather events like these will become much worse and much
more frequent.

We need to be racing as quickly as possible to reduce our emissions or
transitioning to clean energy, not expanding our fossil fuel
infrastructure.

But instead, the Biden administration is giving the green light to massive
expansion of LNG exports that will doom the climate by locking in decades
of continued global-warming pollution. That’s why we’re ramping up
grassroots pressure now to stop these taxpayer handouts to Big Oil.

Here’s our strategy: First, because the media is almost totally ignoring
the threat posed by these LNG terminals, we’re sounding the alarm so that
the public knows what’s at stake. Then we’re mobilizing grassroots
pressure on the Biden administration and Congress to say no more subsidies
for fossil fuels and no more LNG.

But we can’t do any of this work without the support of you, our members.

[ [link removed] ]Please donate $10 and help say NO to LNG and NO taxpayer
to handouts for ExxonMobil and Big Oil.
