Dear friend,

This Moral Monday culminates our Season of Nonviolent Moral Direct Action to Save Our Democracy, and we are bringing the voices and power of the people to Washington D.C. to let our electeds know we mean exactly what we said: our vote must be protected and we need living wages NOW.

Once you register, you will receive more information about travel options (if your state is organizing group travel,) the location, and what is being planned for that day.

This has been an incredible summer of action, where poor and low-income leaders and people of faith have put themselves on the line, risking and undergoing arrest to bring attention to the dangerous rollbacks to our democracy. From the women’s sit-in in D.C. earlier this month, where about 100 people were arrested doing nonviolent direct action, to the 30+ press conferences and sit-ins across the country this past Monday, to the march happening in Texas RIGHT NOW, our representatives are hearing our demands loud and clear:

  1. End the Filibuster
  2. Pass all provisions of the For the People Act
  3. Fully restore the 1965 Voting Rights Act
  4. Raise the federal minimum wage to $15/hr
  5. Fully protect all 11 million undocumented immigrants

Next week marks the anniversary of the passage of the 1965 Voting Rights Act. This is an urgent moment to protect our democracy. That's why we're marching in Texas this week, culminating with a huge rally and and concert (featuring Willie Nelson) in Austin this Saturday, July 31st at 10am CT/ 11am ET which we encourage everyone to attend or tune in for.

And again, we need everyone who is able to come to D.C. on Monday August 2nd to wrap up this powerful season of action. Will you be there?

Forward together, not one step back!
