John, Why are we bending over backwards to please Democrats?
Forget about their most recent stunt of fleeing Texas to grandstand in Washington, D.C., and to take
pictures with Nancy Pelosi.
For years now, the Democrats have refused to act with
any decency or decorum in our state and local legislative bodies.
And, they’ve
utterly disrespected our party, beliefs, and values on countless occasions.
Yet
still, our Republican majority in the State House continues to “play nice” by holding on to the old tradition of giving the Democrats key
leadership roles in the Texas State House.
As we’ve seen recently, it’s not like giving the Democrats
leadership roles will prevent their bogus political charades or make it easier to pass our critical Legislative Priorities.
In fact, our Republican majority in the Texas Senate has had far more success passing our
Legislative Priorities without the symbolic bipartisan acts of good will that our State House continue to hold onto.
Thank you in advance
for taking the time to read my latest op-ed.
I hope I can continue to count on you to
support the Republican Party of Texas in our mission to recruit and elect strong constitutional conservatives to all levels of
government.
Sincerely,
Matt
Rinaldi
Chairman, Republican Party of Texas
