If you’re reading this email, I probably don’t need to tell you why we can’t be complacent about our democracy, even now that Donald Trump is no longer president. The loopholes he exposed still exist, the norms he violated haven’t been shored up by new laws, and his abuses still need to be addressed with real accountability. And of course, that’s without mentioning the dark money-dominated campaign finance system that existed long before Trump ever sought office.
Needless to say, our work here at CREW has hardly slowed down. We’ve been busy pushing for the For the People Act in Congress, tracking all the corporate contributions to members of Congress who voted to overturn the election, obtaining emails exposing intelligence failures leading up to January 6th, and much more.
