As a result of many years of organizing, the majority of Americans support federal protection of voting rights, a $15 minimum wage, universal access to healthcare, comprehensive immigration reform, and investment in sustainable infrastructure.
But Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans have held our nation’s priorities hostage by abusing the Senate’s rules. With the clock ticking on voting rights, now is the time for moral action.
The Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival, partner organizations, and faith leaders will rally on Monday to demand the Senate act now to stop attacks on democracy:
- Pass all provisions of the For the People Act
- Fully restore the 1965 Voting Rights Act
- Raise the federal minimum wage to $15/hr
- Permanent protections, dignity & respect for all 11 million undocumented immigrants.
