Earlier this month, news broke that people in Betsy DeVos’ close-knit circle have been hard at work convincing the former Secretary of Education to launch a campaign for governor.
Just this week, her husband and 2006 GOP gubernatorial nominee Dick DeVos, saying she would “make a fantastic governor.”
We can’t let Betsy DeVos set us back on all the progress we’ve made under Governor Whitmer, who signed a historic $17.1 billion public education budget that completely closes a decades-long state funding gap between school districts -- all without raising taxes.
DeVos is a threat to public education and the future of our state, and we need to be ready to counter her special interest funded campaign. That’s why we’re coming to you to ask you to pitch in $5 or whatever you can give today to fight back against a potential DeVos run for governor.
