Here’s the latest update, John:
Our end-of-month fundraising deadline is THIS SATURDAY. We’re cutting it close but if we raise at least $567 before today ends we’ll be on track to reach our goal.
Reaching this goal is critical to power our organizing and legislating work — especially now that Cori is working to pass her Unhoused Bill of Rights resolution and is standing up against endless attacks on her work to save Black lives.
Please remember John: People like Cori don’t usually end up in Congress.
On November 3rd, 2020 she became the first Black woman ever elected to represent Missouri in Congress and the first activist from the movement for Black lives to be elected to serve in federal office. Cori understands firsthand the crises of being unhoused, police violence, and climate injustice — because she’s experienced all of these challenges firsthand.
That’s why Cori is unapologetic in her work in Congress. Cori knows that millions of families right now face these exact same challenges and that’s why she’s working to finally deliver the transformative policies our communities need. She’s not afraid to take on big fights and ruffle a couple of feathers because she’s standing up for regular families like hers and yours.
Together, we’ve made tremendous progress in our collective fight for racial justice and policies that lift up ALL of us. From reintroducing Medicare for All, to working to abolish the death penalty, and defending those among us who have the least — we have been relentless in this fight for real change.
But the truth is it takes significant resources and funding to make sure Cori can continue this work, especially since she doesn’t accept any donations from special interests or corporations like many of her colleagues in Congress.
That’s why it’s so important we reach our goal this Saturday. Can you chip in $5 or anything you can right now so we can get back on track with our fundraising and continue working for bold, progressive change in Congress?
Together,
Team Cori
