Tuesday was a big day for our democracy.

In Washington, four police officers who protected the Capitol on January 6th reminded the country of just how violent the insurrection was, and demanded accountability in no uncertain terms.

In Texas, the 147 suffered another setback when Trump’s chosen candidate for the special election in Texas’ 6th Congressional District was defeated in an upset. At the polls and in the halls of power it finally feels like the tide is turning against Trump, The 147, and The Big Lie again.

Here’s the thing friend, we’ve been here before. In the immediate aftermath of January 6th the media, corporate donors, and even many Republicans publicly distanced themselves from The 147 and their allies. But in the last 6 months, the corporate donors have come crawling back, Republicans are purging anyone who refused to preach The Big Lie, and Trump is back on the road spouting the same lies that incited the insurrection in the first place.
