Folks,

It turns out even Fox News climate deniers will talk about energy policy and climate change if you wrap it up in a few pop culture references.

The goal of #HotFERCSummer is to get more people talking about FERC. If Fox News host Laura Ingraham wants to talk about it with her 2.1 million viewers, well, that’s #FERCalicious.

Will you chip in towards my campaign’s end-of-month goal to help us keep this battleground seat blue and stick it to Fox News?

I knew my efforts to raise awareness about the importance of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission by invoking songs by Megan Thee Stallion and Fergie on the House floor would ruffle some feathers -- but that’s the point.

Last night the talking heads on Fox News called my efforts to promote FERC “tragic” -- but the real tragedy is the refusal of House Republicans to take any action to address our impending climate crisis while their favorite “news” station spews anti-science propaganda.

Climate change is the single biggest threat we face as a species. The Republican party has shown it’s incapable of even following on this issue, nevermind leading. If we want to preserve our planet for future generations, we need to hold our Democratic House Majority. That starts with this seat.

So I’m asking: please chip in $25 or whatever you can to ensure we have the resources to defend IL-06 and our Democratic House Majority.

In the meantime, if the hosts over at Fox News want to go into more details about energy markets and climate science, they know how to reach me.
