Trump ally, Congressman Jim Jordan headlined a sold-out Republican fundraising event on Maryland’s Eastern Shore yesterday. The high dollar dinner was closed to the public, but it’s not difficult to guess what he told the crowd.

Jordan is a staunch supporter of Trump’s scheme to invalidate our elections and an outspoken opponent of efforts to get the full facts about the January 6 attack. Having admitted to speaking with Trump that day, he could be called to testify before the House special committee as a material witness to those treasonous acts.

Republican leaders like Jim Jordan, Mitch McConnell, and Kevin McCarthy, all opposed the establishment of a Bipartisan Commission to investigate the attack on our democracy. We need to send a strong signal to those who want to bury the truth and avoid accountability.

Conspiracy peddlers are not welcome in Maryland, nor are they welcome in the Congress -- we need a government that operates on facts and is not trying to bury the truth. That’s why I am asking for your support ahead of our July end-of-month fundraising deadline. Can you chip in to help us build a winning team and ensure we keep the Senate Blue in 2022?

Thank you for being part of this and for all you do to support our democracy.
