Dear John,
Right now, as Medicare prepares to celebrate its 56th anniversary, older Americans are calling on Congress to expand this popular and effective program — which will help keep it and the health security of millions of beneficiaries strong.
And there appears to be new momentum on Capitol Hill for doing just that! The most urgent expansion is adding dental, hearing and vision coverage, because, as we have long argued, older Americans need health care from the neck-up, too.
That’s why the National Committee needs your help to keep Medicare strong and effective for another 56 years by making a generous donation of $10 or $5 today, which will support our important advocacy, media outreach and public education efforts on your behalf.
Today, millions of seniors forgo proper dental, hearing and vision care because they simply cannot afford it. Neglecting this basic care has profound health consequences, which ultimately harms seniors and costs Medicare even more in the long run. And so the National Committee is working to make this perfectly clear to our elected officials: the public wants Medicare expanded!
Please support our important fight in Washington, DC to expand Medicare to cover all of the basic needs of millions of older Americans!
Sincerely,
|
