National Hospital Alliance Conference Sessions Now Available
WomenHeart hosted it annual National Hospital Alliance (NHA) Conference virtually July 13-14, 2021. All the sessions are now available to view, including a conversation between CEO Celina Gorre and WomenHeart Champions about the challenges of COVID-19; a discussion on maternal health and heart disease with Dr. Sharonne Hayes, Dr. Rachel Bond and others; and a presentation by Dr. Harmony Reynolds about the decline in women’s awareness of heart disease risk. New Blog Encourages Women to Take Control of their Heart Health
Dr. Martha Gulati, a member of WomenHeart’s Scientific Advisory Council, authored the latest WomenHeart blog issuing a wake-up call to women – don’t put off your heart care any longer. WomenHeart Champions Featured in CardioNerds Podcast
CardioNerds, a 2021 Wenger Award winner and cardiology education podcast, recently released an episode that featured WomenHeart Champions Porothea Dennis, Brandie Taylor and Ellen Robin, as well as Scientific Advisory Council members Dr. Sharonne Hayes and Dr. Nanette Wenger. A Night of Celebration: Wenger Awards 2021
WomenHeart hosted the Wenger Awards ([link removed] virtually on July 21st. This year’s Wenger Award winners included Dr. LaPrincess Brewer from the Mayo Clinic for Excellence in Medical Research, CardioNerds for Excellence in Medical Innovation and the Alliance for Aging Research for Excellence in Patient Advocacy. Women’s Heart and Vascular Symposium
The 3rd Annual Women's Heart & Vascular Symposium will take place on November 20, 2021 in Scottsdale, AZ with virtual components as well.
