John,
We certainly did not fall short of making history in the last elections. We flipped Georgia blue and elected the
first Black Senator in the state's history. It was made possible by the countless Black voters, organizers, and grassroots supporters that showed up and showed
out.
Republicans didn't take this lightly, so much so that Republican legislatures have been implementing racist voting restrictions all over the country to prevent Black and brown folks from making history at the polls again.
Along with extensive voting restrictions, they are also putting money where their mouths are; they raised a record $10.5 million
in June alone. They had a record-breaking second quarter of 2021, and raising money like that --
especially this early -- means they're gearing up to take back control of the Senate in 2022.
We can't let Senate Republicans undo all of our hard work -- health care, voting rights, and so much more is at stake. By keeping and building on our majority, we can push for the passing of legislation that contributes to the liberation of Black people.
The margin of error is razor thin and it's time we come together to make history once again. Black lives are at stake and we can't afford to lose the majority to Republicans upholding white supremacy. By chipping in

To be frank -- we
have to out fundraise Republicans to ensure we keep and gain the Senate majority. It's the only way we'll get legislation like the People's Response Act passed.
The folks currently holding up the passage of necessary bills are the same people that incited the violent and deadly attack on the Capitol on January 6th, the same people who have a blatant disregard for our movement to protect Black lives, and the same people currently carrying out discriminatory voting restrictions across our country.
These types of people shouldn't have the future of our nation in their hands. Their ideals for America are rooted in white supremacy, and we have to do everything in our power to make sure they do not become reality.
We can't let all of our hard work go to waste. We have to continue to show up and show out to let these white supremacists lawmakers know the history we made is now the new normal. Chip in to make sure we have what it takes to take down white supremacy in politics.
In love and solidarity,
