I’m Polly Baca, former Colorado State Senator and former Vice Chair of the National Democratic Party, who just endorsed Donald Valdez’s campaign for Congress.

I have worked on every political campaign since 1960 when I worked as an intern at state democratic headquarters for John Kennedy’s campaign – so I’m well-versed in what it takes to win: and Donald has it.

Donald represents the people of the 3rd District far better than any of the other candidates I've seen. He’s got the experience and heart to represent rural Colorado, and I know he's who we need to flip this district.

I was fortunate to be the first Hispanic woman to be elected to the Colorado state senate and the first Hispanic woman in the nation to be nominated for Congress by a major political party in 1980. That means I’ve faced tough electoral battles like this and I know what it takes to come out on top.

There’s one thing I know for sure: I couldn’t have broken glass ceilings without a Democratic network of supporters behind me every step of the way.

I’m calling on every single supporter reading this email to step up and boost Donald’s campaign, so together we can beat Lauren Boebert at the ballot box.

We’re inching closer to the campaign’s $30,000 End-of-Month goal -- but we’re going to need all hands on deck to hit it.
