Friend, Jamie Raskin didn't have time to mince words when calling out those who attacked our democracy on January 6.
“Those who attacked [Capitol police officers] ... are fascist traitors to our country and will be remembered forever as fascist traitors."
Next week will be nearly SEVEN MONTHS since the January 6 insurrection, and, despite mountains of evidence, public statements, and live broadcast footage of the insurrection, the fascist GOP is scrambling to lay blame for that dark day at the feet of the Democrats. Republicans are only trying to distract Americans from the GOP's involvement in and support for that attack on our democracy.
Make no mistake about it, the GOP's messaging is winning over voters in key House districts across the country, particularly in districts with our most vulnerable House members on the front line. Quite simply, Friend, the very core foundation of our democracy depends on our ability to defend these Democrats.
