But my husband is so much more than an accomplished educator—he is also an outstanding father. Our daughters Amina and Mireya are both Montgomery County Public School students, and I love watching John’s face light up at the dinner table when he dives into a discussion with our daughters about what they’re learning in U.S. history and how it connects to current events that affect their lives.

John is one of the most compassionate and mission-driven people I know, and I know he will lead with these values when we send him to serve as Maryland’s next governor in Annapolis.
