Iran—the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism—remains Israel and America’s greatest long-term threat in the Middle East.
This month alone, Iranian-backed militias targeted the U.S. embassy in Baghdad with an armed drone just hours after rockets were launched at an Iraqi base housing U.S. troops.
While in May, a report revealed that Russia is helping Iran bring shipments of precision-guided missiles into Syria and Lebanon. This is a serious threat for Israel as new precision weapons added into the region put all of Israel’s critical infrastructure at risk.
As these and other threats grow and evolve, we must continue to ensure our leaders in Washington understand the dangers and support policies that help keep America and Israel safe.
The regime continues to call for Israel’s destruction.
They continue to conduct ballistic missile tests.
They continue to fund and arm terrorist proxies throughout the Middle East.
And they continue their dangerous path to a nuclear weapons capability.
Iran is now enriching uranium to 60%—the regime's latest nuclear escalation—for which it has no civilian use.
America needs a comprehensive policy—closely coordinated with our regional allies—to permanently prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon and address the regime's ballistic missile program, terrorism and regional aggression.
The mission of AIPAC is to encourage and persuade the U.S. government to enact specific policies that create a strong, enduring and mutually beneficial relationship with our ally Israel.
