When veterans answered the call to serve this country, they were promised they’d be taken care of when they took off the uniform.
That promise is broken all too often.
Legislation such as the VA MISSION Act is going a long way toward making the Department of Veterans Affairs work better for vets, but too many are still waiting too long for appointments and receiving poor care.
Better care is not enough - veterans deserve the best. For that reason, vets should have more choice so they can seek care when and where they need it.
