 Here in Florida, we’re known as a state that respects individual liberties.
But Democrats eager to make a name for themselves are still able to strip away our individual rights.
It’s happened to me and I ask that you join me in fighting back.
Nikki Fried is Florida’s Commissioner of Agriculture.
Nikki is in charge of ensuring the “wholesomeness of food” in the state – but she’s also in charge of issuing concealed carry permits and maintaining Florida’s background check database.
My ability to possess a firearm was stripped in 2019 for purely political reasons – while I’m suing to get my rights back, I’m also running for Congress to stop gun-grabbing Radical Leftists like Nikki Fried. Help me win.
This week, Fried, who is also running for Governor of Florida against Ron DeSantis, took her partisan extremism even further and announced she is immediately suspending the carry permits for 22 individuals who were at the Capitol on January 6th.
Fried is ignoring Due Process and stripping rights of Americans who have not been convicted of a crime. These 22 individuals are simply suspects. They haven’t even been charged!
This is not what our Founders intended – because the same thing happened to them. They were stripped of their ability to defend themselves as a way to limit their power and influence.
And they didn’t take it lightly, particularly, the “Son of Thunder” Patrick Henry.
In April of 1775, a day after the Battles of Lexington and Concord, the Royal Governor of Virginia, Lord Dunmore, seized the gunpowder of the colonists.
If you know anything about Patrick Henry, you know that he wasn’t a man to mess with.
If Henry were in politics today, he’d be called an extremist or worse, a domestic terrorist. The GOP Establishment of today would have nothing to do with the man.
But Virginians loved him and when Lord Dunmore stripped their ability to fight, Henry gathered a group of men (against the advice of the establishment politicians of the day) and marched on Williamsburg to demand the return of the gun powder – and they were paid 330 British Pounds in exchange.
No shots were fired. No violence was sparked.
But that didn’t stop Lord Dunmore from fleeing the Governor’s mansion to a waiting British ship. Then the coward, from the safety of a war ship, issued an order charging Henry with extortion.
Like Lord Dunmore, Nikki Fried is also a coward.
She is stripping the Second Amendment Rights of Americans for political gain and to obtain higher office in her campaign for Governor of Florida.
America needs more Patrick Henrys.
While I could only hope to compare to Henry’s intelligence and bravery, his life offers a roadmap to save a nation from tyranny.
Help me get to Congress so I can follow Patrick Henry’s example and bravely stand up to any power that threatens us.
