July has been busy! Because of the support of generous neighbors and friends, students and educators, firefighters and ferry riders, baristas and business owners, and so many others, we have accomplished a lot!
👏 Sam joined the team and has been reaching out to volunteers, scheduling events, and putting plans in place to build community power!
👏 I dusted off my canvassing shoes and knocked doors a few Saturdays this month! Loved reconnecting with neighbors on their doorsteps and hearing what’s on folks’ minds (family supports, bridge tolls, a new high school in SK, environmental protections…).
👏 We’ve reached 67 first time donors this summer. That means our team is growing! Excited to see familiar names as well as new ones when I write thank you postcards 💙
👏 With just 3 days to go until our July fundraising deadline, we’ve raised $6,709 this month!! That's only $3,291 to hit our goal ― do you think we can get there??
Staying on track with our fundraising means that next month we can do even more to connect with neighbors and build community power. It means more postcard postage, more clipboards, and (eventually) more campaign signs (because people are already asking!).
