[1]Cori Bush
John,
Before Cori came to Congress, there was a period in her life where she was
evicted, unhoused, and living in a car with her two babies.
During this time, she saw up close how unhoused people are criminalized,
rather than cared for and treated with the dignity that they deserve.
That’s why today Cori introduced the Unhoused Bill of Rights in Congress.
This federal resolution calls on Congress to take significant steps to end
homelessness by 2025 and instructs the federal government to declare the
crisis a life-threatening public health emergency.
It’s an important step toward addressing the homelessness crisis in our
country, but we know that this resolution will not go unattacked by the
GOP and their manipulative, divisive rhetoric.

organizing and legislating efforts to end homelessness and support Cori’s
bold leadership in Congress? It’s important, especially today, to show
widespread support for transformative policies like the Unhoused Bill of
Rights.

Cori knows how important it is to put everyday voices and stories at the
center of her work in Congress — because she understands firsthand the
impact it has on families like yours.
And she knows she’s not the only one with these stories.
It’s estimated that over 550,000 people are currently unhoused in the
United states. This crisis has only been exacerbated by the COVID pandemic
– putting millions of families at risk of being evicted from their homes.
Our government must not allow any of us to go without shelter, especially
during a public health crisis. Housing is health care, and it is a
fundamental right that should be guaranteed to all.

donate $5 or anything you can today. We need your help
right now to make sure we show a strong show of support for the Unhoused
Bill of Rights and grow the momentum we need to pass this resolution.
Together,
Team Cori
