Friend,
It’s no secret that both the state and federal eviction moratoria helped keep Nevadans sheltered and safe during this pandemic. But despite these measures, many predatory landlord corporations, like the Siegel Group, have thrown people out on the street regardless of the public health emergency. The CDC’s eviction moratorium is about to expire, even as Congress begins their investigation into companies like Siegel. What does that mean for Nevadans? That’s what we hope to learn this Thursday night, July 29th at 5:00PM.
Be sure to tune in for another Out in Front episode as guest host Maria-Teresa Liebermann-Parraga speaks with returning guests, Bailey Bortolin, with the Nevada Coalition of Legal Service Providers, and Laura Martin, the Executive Director of PLAN, about the state of evictions in Nevada, what resources are available post-moratorium, and what action Congress may take, if any, to hold bad landlords and rental companies accountable. See you right here at the usual time, Thursday evening at 5!
We hope we’ll see you there,
