More than once, my opponent has shut down the idea of an investigation into the insurrection, but, despite her best efforts, we're still learning more and more about the horror of that day.

Yesterday's hearing on the insurrection marked another window into how deeply impactful and absolutely terrifying the insurrection was for the Capitol police officers who responded to the attacks.

Capitol police officers were attacked in horrendous ways by insurrectionists, and many of them are still grappling with the mental impacts of those attacks to this day. Frankly, it's plain awful .

Let's be clear: I am 100% behind investigating the insurrection. The strength of our democracy demands we investigate attacks against our most fundamental and sacred values.

How my opponent thinks we ought to just move on from the insurrection without fully investigating it is beyond me. But maybe it has something to do with the fact that her campaign donors and friends backed the insurrection, and she toes the party line at every turn.

Can you help us send the message that Michelle Steel's dismissal of an investigation into the insurrection is unacceptable by chipping into our campaign today? [[link removed]]

Harley Rouda served California's 48th district in Congress. In 2018, Harley defeated the 30-year incumbent Dana Rohrabacher in the very first political campaign of Harley's life. During his time in Congress, he's embraced common sense and values to tackle climate change, address deteriorating infrastructure, confront homelessness, and protect Social Security and Medicare. In 2022, Harley will be facing one of the toughest fights in the entire country, so he's depending on the support of grassroots individuals.
