Friend,

I recently sat down with actress Constance Zimmer (House of Cards/The Newsroom/Grey's Anatomy) to discuss the climate crisis and the once-in-a-generation opportunity we have to pass federal climate legislation this year.

We talked about everything from how climate change is impacting our state to what folks like us can do right now to effect change.

Watch the video and then join us in taking action and calling for bold federal climate action.

There’s a lot at stake. Our representatives in D.C. are negotiating legislation to address our nation’s infrastructure and the climate crisis. This deal is vitally important to making sure that Congress delivers on President Biden’s Build Back Better agenda. But climate delayers in congress are trying to block action at every turn.

We need to make sure that progressive climate solutions are included in this legislation. Scientists tell us that we only have until 2030 to prevent the most serious impacts of climate change. With less than a decade left, inaction on climate is not an option.

It only takes a minute to send your representative a message and urge them to stand strong for climate action now.

We’re fighting for climate change solutions that invest in clean energy, wildfire prevention, clean and safe drinking water, and center justice and equity. These are issues that have widespread support across political parties. In fact, we recently conducted a poll and found that nearly 70% of voters in our state believe it’s important for Congress to address the climate crisis by 2030.

So, let’s not let this opportunity go by. Let’s stand together and make our voices heard by saying “No Climate, No Deal!

In solidarity,

Mike Young

We believe that radical change is necessary and only by transforming our political system will we create the opportunity to take bold action on climate change. We elect and cultivate environmental champions, turn election victories into policy wins, hold our lawmakers accountable, and build political power for change. We inspire hope and action and fight for equity and justice for all Californians. We are in the business of changing what’s possible.
