When voters across America delivered Democrats the House, the Senate, and
the White House, they gave them a clear mandate for transformative change
and a historic governing opportunity to meet the overlapping crises we
face at the scale it demands.

And yet, Arizona Senator Kyrsten Sinema announced today that a historic
investment in President Biden’s jobs and families plan is a bridge too
far:

package Democrats plan to pass along party lines

Let’s be very clear about what this means: Senator Sinema isn’t just
coming out against a price tag. She’s threatening to block a package that
would finally deliver child care, paid leave, community college, Medicare
expansion, climate action, a roadmap to citizenship for Dreamers,
affordable housing, and so much more.
