Mitch McConnell is not happy that maverick Senate Rules Committee chairwoman Amy Klobuchar put the spotlight on the GOP's voter suppression efforts in Georgia last week.

McConnell told every Republican on the Rules Committee to stay home from last week's field hearing in Atlanta. The shameless GOP is convinced that their authoritarian game plan will go off without a hitch. McConnell knows that Republican candidates perform best when voter turnout is low. Left unchecked, the GOP will limit voting access in diverse communities like Atlanta that came out strong for Joe Biden and flipped both of Georgia's Senate seats blue.

But Amy Klobuchar has a message for our “friends” on the right:

If you believe that elected officials are supposed to show up to work, and more importantly, that anyone who can vote should be able to vote, then Amy Klobuchar needs your help, friend. We need to root out authoritarianism from every polling booth, and the only way to do that is to replace racist Republicans with bold progressives.
