Yesterday, the select committee investigating the January 6th insurrection began its inquiry into the deadly attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Four police officers gave powerful testimony outlining the devastating details of the day they put their lives on the line to protect our democracy from insurrectionists.

But Elise Stefanik wasn’t concerned with their heroic testimony. Instead, she was gaslighting and distracting us from the truth: that those actually responsible for the attack are extremist members of the GOP, like herself, who spread Trump’s Big Lie and voted against certifying what was a free and fair election. In a particularly bizarre twist, Elise blamed the attack on someone else entirely: Speaker Pelosi.

Elise Stefanik is a dangerous radical Republican who is a threat to our democracy. We need leaders who will put real patriotism and the rule of law above campaign cash and Donald Trump.
