Last week, the FBI revealed that it received over 4500 tips regarding then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh to a phone line during the Bureau’s background investigation. They passed what they deemed as “relevant” information on to President Trump’s White House Counsel’s Office, which then prevented Senators from reviewing them thoroughly before Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing.

“If the FBI was not authorized to or did not follow up on any of the tips that it received from the tip line, it is difficult to understand the point of having a tip line at all,” Senator Sheldon Whitehouse said in response.

The case for an impeachment investigation has only grown as he continues to bring the judiciary into disrepute.

This latest development confirms the need to reopen an investigation into Justice Kavanaugh’s background and potentially remove him from office.
