Yesterday, the House select committee investigating the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol held its first hearing, which included testimony from four officers who protected the Capitol that day.

The officers’ accounts were harrowing and offered an important insight into what happened on January 6th.

While Issue One continues to advocate for an independent, 9/11-style commission as the best way to uncover the truth about how the assault on the Capitol occurred, the House select committee offers an opportunity to pursue the facts of the events leading up to, and on, that dark day.

It’s of critical importance that Americans get the answers they deserve about the events of January 6th — we must ensure another attack like this never happens again.
