It is hard not to have whiplash from trying to follow the constantly changing media versions of what is included in school curricula today. The first response to parents' and taxpayers' concerns about Critical Race Theory was that it is not really being taught - silly us. Now the assertion is that those in charge (teachers' unions and the Biden Department of Education) are simply trying to promote the teaching of "honest" history. Wrong again. Critical Race Theory in Classrooms Isn’t Just About Teaching ‘Honest History’

The media spin and outright gaslighting to cover up the reality of the teaching of critical race theory in our schools and institutions has shifted into overdrive.

First, we were told it wasn’t happening at all.

Then, we were informed that trying to stop it was authoritarian fascism or something.
