FAIR Founder Jeff Cohen: “I tell FAIR’s many fans to do three things”

Dear FAIR Friends,

Thanks to all of your support this month, FAIR has raised just over $8,000. In order to meet our $15,000 goal, we’re asking for your help during this final push. There’s still time to reach our $15,000 goal!

We’ll stress again that FAIR doesn’t have corporate sponsors. We aren’t bankrolled by wealthy partisan donors to promote or defend their interests. Our ability to continue delivering illuminating content to all readers depends on you—and that’s the way we like it.

But we need your help to keep going.

We can chip away at the power of Big Media, expose the myths and propaganda that uphold the status quo, and spread our message to new listeners, readers and viewers—but only with your support.

This time is special to us because it marks our 35th birthday. Our founder Jeff Cohen recently recounted FAIR’s founding and 35-year journey in his piece, “35 Years Later, Looking Back at the Founding of FAIR”:

To this day, people still mistakenly thank me for the latest first-rate critique from FAIR. Sometimes I correct their misimpression that I have a hand in FAIR’s great work 35 years later. Sometimes I don’t. But all the time, I tell FAIR’s many fans to do three things: Spread the word, join the battle, and donate.

Jeff’s article wasn’t just published on FAIR.org, but in other progressive publications like CommonDreams, Reader Supported News, Salon and LA Progressive. FAIR is central to the world of independent media—and we have our supporters to thank for that.

All donations, large or small, get us closer to our goal. We deeply appreciate your help!

From all of us at FAIR,
