In our last campaign, we faced some unique challenges: COVID-19, the economic downturn, and a national atmosphere consumed by some of the most intense political divisiveness we have seen in generations. They were all components working against us. But still, we overcame -- that's because we stuck together.
We wore masks, social distanced, and supported our local businesses to the best of our ability. Now, we're in the process of building back our economy, uplifting our communities, and reminding our neighbors to get vaccinated so we don't go backward in our progress towards combating the pandemic.
A part of that progress means ensuring we've got the right leaders representing us in Congress, and Antonio's never let us down before. As a matter of fact, Antonio's funding formula from the Direct Support for Communities Act is the reason why countless towns, regardless of size, are getting the funding they need to rebuild their economies.
