DSA recently launched a new phase in its Green New Deal national campaign: a Green New Deal for Public Schools (GND4PS). This campaign will intervene in the Congressional infrastructure fight to build support for GND4PS legislation and politicize a public institution that exists in every community and from which we can make broad-based demands for aggressive Green New Deal investment in public services and infrastructure.
This campaign, like all DSA work, is based on the foundation of chapter-level leadership and organizing. WSILDSA is making its first push to organize and mobilize chapter members in support of this effort. We are particularly excited with this campaign as we’ll get to build connections and work with parents, teachers, teachers’ unions and some of our most marginalized school communities.
