Hi Friend,
I would like to invite you to an
upcoming event on Thursday July 29, at 3:00 PM ET/ 12:00 PM PT to hear from White House Council on Environmental Quality Chair Brenda Mallory about President Biden's commitment to conserve 30% of our land, water, and oceans by 2030. As CEQ Chair, Mallory advises President Biden and develops policies on climate change, environmental justice, federal sustainability, public lands, oceans, and wildlife conservation.
Biden's administration recently launched a new initiative,
America the Beautiful, which outlines how the United States can work together to achieve the 30 by 30 restoration, conservation and protection goals. This report includes a sharp focus on locally-led efforts to reach these goals and expand access to nature.
Additionally, in line with the
America the Beautiful report, LCV will be presenting a brand new Conservation Voter Movement report on state and community conservation progress. You will have the opportunity to hear directly from local elected officials and advocates about the latest updates from city halls to state legislatures on their ideas of where we go from here.
RSVP here to join Chair of CEQ, Brenda Mallory, for a conversation on U.S. land protection and conservation.
friend, it is critical we work together as a country to achieve our conservation goals. LCV, including our state affiliates and grassroots activist base, have worked hard to arrive at this moment.
We look forward to seeing you there, and thank you for your interest in our work.
Onward,
Gene Karpinski
President
League of Conservation Voters
P.S. We're always looking to expand our network — please share this invitation with people who may be interested in learning more about LCV's work.
