John,

Let’s take a second and imagine a world where billionaires and corporations paid their fair share in taxes.

Instead of billionaires rocketing into space we could: End child poverty. Cancel student debt for millions of Americans. Rebuild public infrastructure. Fight climate change and generate 100% renewable energy. Pass Medicare for All. And create an American economy that works for everyone.

Listen, I’m all for space exploration, but everyone needs to pay their fair share so our country can prosper. Including corporate America. Everyone.

In 2017 and 2018, Amazon’s customers paid more for a one-year Amazon Prime subscription than Amazon paid in taxes. Seriously. Our tax system is broken.

While Republicans continue to protect a tax system that rewards wealth and punishes working families, Democrats are on the verge of passing legislation to make the economy work for everyone. But to do so, we must protect our majorities — or else Mitch McConnell will stop us in our tracks.

Can you pitch in right now to help me fight for an economy where prosperity is shared? Every contribution helps defend our slim Democratic majorities and keeps us fighting for an America that works for everyone. [[link removed]]
