We don’t mean to alarm you, but this isn’t good. The Democratic Party’s Senate fundraising arm was outraised by $400,000 by their Republican counterpart.

This doesn’t bode well for the upcoming midterm elections. If fundraising stays low, Republicans could clobber our candidates on the airwaves, and we won’t have the resources to adequately defend them.

Mitch McConnell and the Republican money-machine are squeezing every cent they can out of their far-right donors — and Donald Trump is helping out too.

It’s clear that we need to catch up FAST. If Republicans continue making advances in fundraising that we’re unable to match, it’s possible that we could lose our Democratic Senate majority and be unable to continue delivering progress on the issues that matter.

Health care, voting rights, and infrastructure are all on the table. A Republican Senate with Mitch McConnell back in charge will obstruct our work at every turn. So we need to do everything we can right now to not fall even further behind.
