Y'all,

I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself as DPVA’s new Deputy Finance Director. Growing up just south of Galax, in deeply rural & Republican North Carolina, I learned that so many of our rights weren’t just granted to us -- they were fought for by folks, from grassroots activists to legislators in capitals around the nation.

From civil rights and voting rights to the right to choose and the right to marry the person you love -- Democrats have been fighting for folks like me and so many others.

While Democrats have been working to protect our rights, the Virginia GOP has made it a priority to roll back all the progress we have made over the last few years -- that’s what we’re fighting against.

I know that Terry McAuliffe, Hala Ayala, and Mark Herring will fight for us every day -- they’ve been doing it for years. But they can’t fight for our future unless we have their backs today.

That’s why I’m asking -- will you join me in supporting Virginia Democrats all around the Commonwealth?
